Our client is a well established natural pet food company located in Fairfield County. We are seeking a key individual that has the ability to execute concepts for packaging and related projects independently plus in a team environment.

Must be strong in concept development and understand brand integration across many different forms of media from print collateral, packaging, web and complete campaigns—concept through production.

Key attributes: Proactive, detail oriented, strong production skills, excellent communication skills and must have 4-7 years' of design/production experience producing packaging (Specific CPG and/or pet food, highly desired), print collateral, some web. Press approval experience is a plus.

Our successful art director/packaging designer will develop and execute outstanding creative on assigned brands. Develop creative concepts and execute all aspects of creative pertaining to visuals.

Responsibilities: Develop creative concepts in partnership with copywriters. Work on assigned brands as well as new business development projects. Present to senior creative and account management. Source all photography and illustrations. Create final digital production.

Our ideal art director/packaging designer will have a degree in design. Strong skills in Adobe CS3/4: Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

Target: Art Directors/Packaging Designers with experience in major CPG Brands and from universities including but not limited to: FIT, RISD, Carnegie Mellon, Syracuse, RIT, Parsons, SVA, Pratt, Art Center or a University or College with a degree in graphic design or packaging.

Some travel required.

Location: Fairfield County
